How does it work?

All is simple to operate, no matter if it is a first plate made with Drag&Drop or a sophisticated ICC profiled print out in full color. It is new era for universal digital prepress and printing.
– You expect it will work effectively from very first day??? –  Yes, that’s our commitment. It will.

You can use the 123ctp system to direct production on aluminium plates and processless polyester plates

123platePRO (the most popular among our users type of plate) – method of usage

  1. The plate is imaged from a pdf, tiff, eps or ps file – the special 123plateINK works perfectly without destroying the emulsion and is able to block UV light.
  2. The plate printed in that way is placed by the operator in the optional UV led BOX at the top of our machine, or it can be exposed by a conventional light box.
  3. The plate has to be washed from the ink and processed as all conventional PS/UV plates (we are recommend a vertical processor available from our dealers).

On the press, this plate behaves completely like conventional plates. Your pressman doesn’t need to change any habits. We recommend the 123platePRO series as the one that will allow you to achieve the highest possible quality that is quite comparable to that of the laser CTP. Another advantage of this type of plate is the price (suggested price for the 123platePRO plate is 4.99 € / m2 and can be obtained in run lengths. We will soon post a video of the working procedures here.

123plateDRY – method of usage

  1. The plate is imaged from a pdf, tiff, eps or ps file – pure Epson Cyan works perfectly and it works like an oleophilic surface.
  2. The imaged plate is baked at a temperature of 130C for 2 minutes
  3. The plate can go directly into the press

On the press, this plate behaves in a slightly different way. Your pressman will need to change habits related to starting/stopping the press. The plate simply likes more fountain at some stages of the printing, but this is the biggest difference.

123platePOLY – method of usage

  1. The plate is imaged from a pdf, tiff, eps or ps file – pure Epson Vivid Magenta works perfectly and it works like oleophilic surface
  2. The imaged plate can be baked at a temperature of 130C for 2 minutes, but this plate can also go directly (without baking) to press with reduced copy output expected.
  3. The plate can go directly into the press (exception above in point 2)

On the press, this plate behaves in a slightly different way. Your pressman need to change habits related to starting/stopping the press and also with mounting polyester based material. After some time we did observe that pressmen were able to get really good results, especially on 2up machines. However we only recommend this technology for simple color jobs or linework (process color only up to A3/B3).

123FILM – method of usage

  1. The film is imaged from a PDF, TIFF, EPS or PS file. Epson genuine ink PhotoBlack works perfectly thanks to special machine head control together with our film. In case of the need for higher density black ink you can use the specialized systemic 123HDink available from our dealers.
  2. The film can be automatically cut or wait for the operator’s command
  3. The film is immediately ready for use.

Films obtained from procesless 123film technology are a legitimate replacement for expensive silver film technology. However, this type of film require a little more care in storage. The ink layer is less resistant to scratches than the light-sensitive emulsion layer on silver films. To us, this is the only noticeable difference, which only requires staff instruction.

Large format printing in color is the operator’s greatest comfort in speed and efficiency:
1.) The operator need only choose the appropriate type of material from the available self-adhesive films, banners, papers or canvases.
2.) The rest is as easy as a desktop printer. Of course, all advanced users can build their own ICC profiles for different materials!
